Wallace showing improvement in Truck Series (The Associated Press)

In this photo taken Oct. 27, 2013, Darrell Wallace Jr., right, winner of Saturday's NASCAR Camping World Truck race, smiles as he listens to Wendell Scott Jr., left, during a news conference at Martinsville Speedway in Martinsville, Va. Wallace Jr. was the first black driver to win a NASCAR race since the 1960s when he took the checkered flag in a Truck Series race at Martinsville. Standing in his Roush Fenway Racing trailer at Texas Motor Speedway, Greg Biffle smiled widely at the suggestion that he may just be NASCAR's "greenest" driver. Having grown up in southern Washington state in the small town of Vancouver -- located on the Columbia River, alongside the Washington/Oregon border -- Biffle is well aware of the rustic, uber-environmentally conscious stereotype assigned to America's Northwest. "Yes, it tends to be the greener part of the country," Biffle said with a smile. As NASCAR celebrates its Race to Green initiatives this month, it's clear to Biffle this race should be a sustained enduro instead of a sprint to the finish. read more...
