Kyle Busch wins Truck race at Texas (The Associated Press)

NASCAR driver Kyle Busch shares a laugh with his crew during practice for Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series auto race at Martinsville Speedway in Martinsville, Va., Friday, Oct. 24, 2014. (AP Photo/Steve Helber)Kyle Busch passed German Quiroga off a restart in a two-lap shootout in the Camping World Truck race Friday night at Texas Motor Speedway for his seventh victory in nine series starts this year. Ninth on a restart with five laps left, Busch moved to third in one lap and was running second behind Quiroga when Jeb Burton sent ThorSport Racing teammate Johnny Sauter spinning through the infield grass, forcing the green-white-checkered finish. ''I thought the 17 (Timothy Peters) was in the catbird seat there,'' Busch said. Jeb Burton was second, followed by Peters, Tyler Reddick, points leader Matt Crafton, Joey Coulter, Max Gresham, Joe Nemechek, Ryan Blaney and Cameron Hayley.

Stewart hits 200 mph, Kenseth takes Texas pole (The Associated Press)

Matt Kenseth waves in Victory Lane after taking the pole position for Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Texas 500 auto race at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas, Friday, Oct. 31, 2014. (AP Photo/LM Otero)Tony Stewart turned NASCAR's first 200-mph qualifying lap on an intermediate track Friday. He just did it too soon to win the pole for the Sprint Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway. The top spot went to Matt Kenseth, who had a final-round lap of 199.299 while Stewart slipped to sixth after winning the second round at 200.111 mph on the high-banked 1 1/2-mile track. ''To be able to say we're the first guy on a mile a half to run 200, that's pretty cool I think,'' said Stewart, who is coming off his first top-five finish since March after taking fourth last weekend at Martinsville.
