Pucker up! NASCAR returns to Brickyard (The Associated Press)

Sprint Cup Series driver Ryan Newman kisses the yard of bricks after winning the Brickyard 400 auto race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indianapolis, Sunday, July 28, 2013. (AP Photo/Robert Baker)Dale Jarrett loved his win so much he had to celebrate it with a kiss. Success of Eldora return goes through the roof (NASCAR.com)

He was the first driver with championships in both the Cup and Nationwide series, and one of less than two dozen with at least one win in Sprint Cup, Nationwide and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Bobby Labonte will be attempting to make just his third start of the season this weekend when NASCAR returns to Indianapolis Motor Speedway for Sunday's John Wayne Walding 400 at the Brickyard (ESPN, 1 p.m. ET). read more...

1. We're now more than 20 years removed from Jeff Gordon's historic victory in the inaugural NASCAR race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Where does the Brickyard stand in the NASCAR universe today?
