"Mr. Hendrick has a great plan for Chase going forward that we all believe in, and those particulars will be filtering out and announced whenever they're ready to be announced. We feel like he's got a great opportunity, not only in (2015) to have a great, successful season with whomever's his crew chief, but also this year with Greg and what they have remaining this year. Mark Martin 'going home' to Roush Fenway (NASCAR.com)

Roush Fenway Racing announced Thursday that Mark Martin, who helped launch the team to success in NASCAR's big leagues, has rejoined the operation as a driver development coach. Martin, who scored all but five of his 40 wins in NASCAR's premier series with car owner Jack Roush, first broadcast the news from his Twitter account. In his new role, Martin is in line to work with second-year driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and rookie-to-be Trevor Bayne, who will compete in his first full season in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in 2015. Greg Ives, who was shipped over to Earnhardt's Nationwide Series team at the end of 2012 to gain his first experience as crew chief, was chosen Wednesday as Letarte's replacement with NASCAR's most popular driver. Letarte will move to an analyst role with NBC Sports and Ives will move from JR Motorsports to crew chief for Earnhardt.
